100% Recycled 100% Recyclable

Can we close the loop in NZ? Many New Zealanders are increasingly choosing to purchase and use products that are made from recycled material, and while some products can be recycled, in New Zealand local councils do not have the infrastructure or technology in place to re-purpose the majority of plastics. Plant pots fit into this category. However, many of the world’s developed countries are now implementing the technology to make change. It is only a matter of time before NZ implement the same technology.

Green Loop

Green Loop NZ is proud to begin laying the foundation to close the loop in NZ with the launch of the new ‘GreenLoop Pot’ made from 100% recycled plastic.

Every Greenloop pot gets the big tick. This guarantees that this pot is made from 100% recycled plastic and it has the certified tick to back it up.

The Technology

The traditional black pot is making way for a new taupe pot as it is completely Near-InfaRed (NIR) detectable. This technology ensures that the taupe pot is detected among recycled waste and will be reused to make new plastic products - closing the loop to be a truly circular product.

It's time for change.

Lets get started!

We need to find ways to motivate more consumers to participate. Well over 98% of the New Zealand population can recycle plastics, but the plastics recycled rate is hovering around 5%?.
